tritz18 Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 I saw the Booyah Dancing buzzbait on Bill Dances show and it was catching some nice fish. So I decided I would give it a try and I picked it up at BPS. I won't be fishing till the spring but I just wanted to know what you guys think about it before I throw it in the water. Thanks Quote
jwo1124 Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 I saw that same show. And to be honest the lure looks a little goofey, but as you saw on Mr. Dance's show, it flat out catches fish. I have never tried one, but I'm sure it will produce. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted January 3, 2008 Super User Posted January 3, 2008 You guys REALLY need to pick up a Cavitron Buzzbait. I guarantee you will like everything about this lure. It has an odd chirping sound, bubbly wake and gets up on plane immediately. I had some GREAT luck with this buzzbait last summer. BTW, I was fishing the 3/8 oz, black on black. Quote

Perfect Hook Set Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 PLEASE keep in mind Bill Dance usually fishes well stocked private lakes and ponds.. He is out on the water for hours and hours some times more then one day while recording an episode. Not putting the buzzbait down though Cavitron Buzzbait all of the way Quote
Super User grimlin Posted January 3, 2008 Super User Posted January 3, 2008 That thing is just too long for my liking. No room in my tackle box for those things.Plus i don't trust bill dance. That man could throw a lure that looks like poop and catch fish. ;D Quote

No matter how good you are, you can't catch 8 5 pounders and bigger every trip out with any lure if you go to a "normal" lake. Quote
Super User Tin Posted January 3, 2008 Super User Posted January 3, 2008 I'm with you guys, can't beat a Cavitron. Quote
LCpointerKILLA Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 I hardly ever fished buzzbaits until I bought some cavitrons. I have caught bass in places with the cavitron, where I would have never even considered throwing a buzzbait. I also used to only throw a buzzbait in ponds for fun, but now whenever I'm on the boat on the real lakes I will consider throwing a cavitron. The buzzbait has really found it's niche in my fishing.
