vicdotcom Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Hey everyone, I dont know if anyone has mentioned here about using Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser to clean cork handles or not but I just tried it and it took off years of gunk, sweat, and oil. It looks brand new. I used it with some rubbing alcohol so it would dry faster and it worked wonderfully. Sorry if someone already mentioned this already but I did a search and nothing came up. llPa1nll Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Hey, thanks for the tip I hadn't heard that one. Thanks Again... Quote
Guest DavidGreen Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 That's a great tip, I normally use and old cloth and denatured alcohol. But the key is once they are clean you need to seal them Cleaning Cork Handles. Then its just a damp cloth to clean them up, with out all the extra elbow grease needed. Great tip... Tight Lines!!! Super User T-rig Posted March 28, 2007 Super User Posted March 28, 2007 I only clean my cork handles with a damp cloth, i like that worn in look! Quote

Super User .RM. Posted July 18, 2009 Super User Posted July 18, 2009 I used to put a light coat of synthetic oil, any opiniosn on that? I don't understand. :-? This thread is/was about cleaning the cork grips not oiling them up. .. But the only two items I have used on cork (after cleaning) and would only put on cork, is Tru Oil (used on gun stocks) and U-40 Cork Sealer... Tight Lines All!!! Quote
