Basspro Pro Qualifier Baitcast Combo

Hey all I got a couple of the Basspro extreme combos, and really feal like they are a great combo for the money.

I am looking for another combo for Flippin/Pitchin, and would like to upgrade a bit, and see this "Basspro Pro Qualifier Combo" for $189.00.  It looks like a good value/quality... What are your thoughts!???

I suppose for flippin/pitchin, I should be looking at a 7'2"+ heavy action rod?

Some of the new bps house reels have the dual brake system. I bought a faulty morris bait caster, the centrifugal weights would pop out on their own witch lead to me having to open the reel and set the brakes on every cast. I took mine back. That was about two years ago, they might have fixed that problem by now. I use a 7 ft mh most of the time for flippin I'll break out my 7'4 H for the real heavy cover or for better distance. Haven't fished the new reel but really like the way it looks and feels.  I really like the rods, probably their best value, a great leap from the extreme but at a good price on sale.  I would say go for it, the only word of advice would be to feel the combo first, bass pro rods tend to be bad at gaining excessive weight in longer and higher rated models.

And as for the DBS, I have three patriarchs that have dual braking and have not had any trouble.  A buddy has two more and another has a JM sig that hasn't had any problems either.

I recently got this reel and would rate it slightly below a Revo S.  It is very smooth and I like the function.  I dont like it as much as my Revo but it is definitely a good reel for the money.

I have one and I love it, it cast weightless senkos like a dream, and I can cast red eye shads a country mile! Btw I have a 7' MH pro qual Rod!

I went down to the big shop today to get some tilapia xr 100's. I went to high school with the guy in the reel dept so I asked him about the new low pro model, he said it is loud on the cast, and the brakes pop out randomly. This might not happen on the pflueger reels, but a metal spring next to a magnet is a bad idea.

I recently had 2 BPS sig series baitcasters and they were great reels.  I never had any trouble with the dual braking system.  I replaced both of them with Daiwa Steez combos (mainly for the reduction in weight) but I wish I would have kept at least 1 of them.  The BPS sig series baitcasters were great when casting weightless plastics.

Thanks for the info-  So do you think the Qualifier combo is a bit better than the extreme?  

What would the Pro Qualifier compare to if I were to go the name brand route like Shimano,Abu Garcia, Diawa, etc.  ?
