The_Natural Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 ...with a nice lookin' competitor. Lamiglas has always made nice sticks, and these new rods will still be made at the Lamiglas factory in America versus outsourcing like most other rods trying to provide bang-for-the-buck. No word yet on the name of these rods....all we have is a pic and price point ($99). Quote
DINK WHISPERER Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 Man, those are SEXY! My spare Revo STX would go perfect on one with it's orange trim! If they have Fuji components i'm in!!! Quote
jamarkwe Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 If they are glass rods I'm in as well....I'm in the market for a cranking rod and them are sexy.... 8-) Quote

Super User islandbass Posted July 12, 2009 Super User Posted July 12, 2009 Lamiglas has had a rod series at around the $100 price point for a very long time. It is their competitor series, and they are fine rods. It seems they're parallelling St. Croix by offering a line of rods at a price close to their Competitor line but with split grips. Only speaking from an aesthetics POV. I have no idea about what graphite is used, but I have been tempted to ask at their forum. Quote
Furbit Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 From what I hear they also have a upgraded Certified Pro in the works. Now that Shimano is taking a strong foot hold over at Loomis. Lamiglas may just be my new rod of choice. There certified pro rods are very good rods. Quote
ChiCityBasser Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 NIce looking rods and they might actually take me away from the Cabelas rods cause this would look good with the New Quantum Catalyst PTI-B Feeling the Monkey crawling onto my back again Quote
bigtimfish Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 Thanks a lot. Now I have an even harder choice I need to make. I have been at a standstill about the Allstar crankin rod and the American Rodsmith. Now you go and throw that one in the mix, I will never make a decision. Quote
