ive put braided line on one of my combos and im wondering what lures are best with braided line

Hello and WELCOME first of all!

Braided line can be used on any lures except those with treble hooks really. It has virtually no stretch so it amplifies the feeling of what your lure is touching and provides better hook sets. Anytime you are fishing around cover such as grass, lily pads, brush etc braid is a good idea. Personally, i use it for flippin' heavy cover and on my T-rigged set-up.

Any lip less crank, and lipped cranks. Braid which I define as power pro, not the cheap wanna be rips, can handle any lure. Most people get a bad opinion of braid because the use the cheap versions first.

powerpro is outdated and stone age.sufix is better and the new fireline braid is best imho.any lure can be fished on braid.some people use leaders and some don't.i personally don't use a leader.over the years i thought i caught more fish using low vis line and even went to flouro.last year i went back to braid mid year and had no drop in catch rates and it actually went up.i think the differences from year to year were because of other reasons and not line visability.

Im using powerpro 50# 12#eq. and I love it. Was using 8lb mono on one of my baitcasters but just switched that over as well. I think it casts a lot smoother and nicer than mono and the overall strength is unbelievable.

Have you actually tried the fireline braid?  I have been using it for several months now and love it.

About 4 years back I switched from mono to braid, and today I fish ALL my lures on braided line, and tie direct (no leader).

I recently switched from PowerPro braid to Fireline Tracer Braid, due to unexplained line failure in PowerPro.

In any case, the difference between brands of braided line pales in comparison

to the difference between braid and monofilament.

i use braid all the time now myself.

and agree with RoLo....

no leader, in fresh at least..... salt is a different story.

everyone has their on personal fav's, but my choice is suffix.

I use braid and a leader on all my spinning reels.  I use PP because I can buy it anywhere and it serves me well.  Only a few brands that don't get excite me but it boils down to personal opinion.

i doubt he has from the tone of the reply.he probably has it confused with regular fireline.
