paul. Posted December 31, 2007 Posted December 31, 2007 i am gonna try something new this winter in an effort to put a big fish in the boat, but i thought i'd run it by y'all first. i would be interested to know if anyone out there has had any success at all (particularly with lunkers) fishing BIG (10"+) t-rigged plastics in 35-45 degree water. typically for me this has always been the domain of ol' reliable - the jig. i have had success with plastics before, but they have always been tubes or creature baits in the 4-6" variety. anxious to hear. thanks. LCpointerKILLA Posted December 31, 2007 Posted December 31, 2007 Maybe you will be the first on the forums to try the megabass monster crawler! Quote
Super User fourbizz Posted December 31, 2007 Super User Posted December 31, 2007 I've got some 15 and 16 inch worms and a 12 inch lizard that I fish a little bit in cold water. I haven't got them bit except in the warmer months, but I tend to either swimbait or dropshot in the winter, so they haven't been thrown much. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted December 31, 2007 Super User Posted December 31, 2007 Well, I don't think this reply really addresses the question, but I will throw it out anyhow: I have had some success using the Sweet Beaver Double Wide as a trailer on a 1/2 oz jig. However, Uncle Josh Pork seems to be more productive in cold water. Quote
Super User T-rig Posted December 31, 2007 Super User Posted December 31, 2007 Maybe this would work: http://www.ichibantackle.com/showproductdetail.asp?productid=1569&name=MONSTER%20DARTS%20HOG%207.5%20inch&manufacturename=JACKALL%20BROS.%20(LAKE%20POLICE) Quote
Super User Tin Posted December 31, 2007 Super User Posted December 31, 2007 Not exactly 10" but pretty bulky. A Zoom Brush Hog pitched to laydowns. Quote
