Super User Tin Posted June 25, 2009 Super User Posted June 25, 2009 It is like fishing with a rubber band to me. All lines feel like that...unless your fishing with braid. : Not flouro and if I'm using mono I went over to Triple Fish and P Line XXX and they feel great. Quote
central_fl_fishin Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Trilene XL is great for the money. I would think it is the standard for mono. A good analogy would be that it is the jimmy beam of line. Inexpensive, yet good, not awesome, not bad either. Quote
Super User iceintheveins Posted June 26, 2009 Author Super User Posted June 26, 2009 Original Stren is the line I usually use because it seems to have the best balance of castability, strength, and abrasion resistance in one line. XL does cast well but I don't think it has much less memory than Original Stren. Just seems to break down in UV light quickly and gets broke by fish easily, even though I'm not always fishing cover. I never used it around heavy cover. Quote
