crankbait2009 Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 This question if for anyone that has used or uses Yo-Zuri Hybrid fishing line. the closest place that i can get yo-zuri hybrid fishing line is at BPS which is about 30-40 minutes away. until i can get out that way to get a refill of line, is there an equal to this? there is a dicks right here by my house but they dont carry yo-zuri at all. i usually buy the yo-zuri hybrid, 12lb test, clear. any equals or if not better? i recently ran out of line :'( and need a quick fix to go fishing in the morning!!!!! soccplayer07 Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 I personally do not think there is an equal to yo zuri ultra soft. I am sure a few will post a few options to consider. I can not find it locally either. I order mine from Cabela's. 600 yard spools for around $12. Hard to beat that. Quote
enwhybassin Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 For some unknown reason the local sports authority carries yo zuri hybrid and hybrid ultra soft. So maybe it'd be a good idea to try them if theres one close by and you're set on the yo zuri and don't want to try anything else. Quote
FishDontLikeMe1301600221 Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 i like pline cxx and maxima makes a decent line.but sometimes if you go to dicks and ask them if they can stock or order certain tackle they sometimes will, the one i live by i got them to order lucky strike bass magic swimbaits, now they always have them.otherwise check arounf you for local ma n pop tackle shops see if they have it,or will order it for you. Goggle Eyes Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 I put 6 lb. yo zuri hybrid on my spinning out fit (Pflueger President reel w/ 7' St. Croix Premier ML) and its amazing. It casts like a dream, I havent noticed much stretch, its tough but still super silky smooth, casts better than any line I have tried. I liked it so much I bought 12 lb. and put it on a Citica bs with a 7' Mojo Bass MH rod I use for texas rig. I tried it last night and at this point I will probably us yo zuri on all of my outfits. I was able to cast a finesse worm (no weight) a mile with texas rig outfit whereas before I would struggle to do the same with the Seaguar I had been using. No doubt in my mind, I have used mono,Pline, Seaguar, various braids (which I vow to never use again unless I rig up some sort of slop rig for frogs or perhaps monster bass in Fla. or Ca.) but this is far superior IMO. Thanks for the heads up, I wouldnt have tried had I not read this forum. Quote
Super User Hammer 4 Posted June 21, 2009 Super User Posted June 21, 2009 Word...buy the YoZuri in the 600 yd spools, should be about 12.00. I get mine from a local tackle shop, who also sells online. As they aren't an advertiser I won't post the name,. or link, pm me if you want. They are located in so.cali. They carry a ton of yozuri.. Quote
