Super User .ghoti. Posted June 17, 2009 Super User Posted June 17, 2009 After Bantam1 took care of me regarding a problem with a Cumara rod, I've been looking for a reel to pair it with. I tried every reel I had, Revo STX, Energy PT, super-tuned Millionaire, Pfleuger Summit, Johnny Morris, and only one, a TD Feugo, really matched up nicely with the Cumara. The problem is the Feugos match up perfectly with two Setyr rods, so that's where the are. Went into BPS Sunday, and bought a Curado E7. That reel, on a 6'8"MXF Cumara rod, is a perfect T-rig / light jig setup. I hope I didn't just start something. Quote
Super User KYntucky Warmouth Posted June 17, 2009 Super User Posted June 17, 2009 The e7 is a dandy worm/jig reel. I use mine on my flipping stick so she doesn't see much action. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted June 17, 2009 Super User Posted June 17, 2009 CONGRATULATIONS! Just picked up the Curado 200 E7 a couple of weeks ago. Matched it up with a BCR854 (Forest Green on Green). Jumped off a cliff and spooled up Power Pro 50/12 for color coordination (black/green). Best of all, the STX is no longer part of my jig rig! 8-) Quote
Super User flechero Posted June 17, 2009 Super User Posted June 17, 2009 Gary, For those of us that are already on the "dark side" we prefer to call it partly cloudy... as in- the fishing is better this way. Welcome home, brother. Quote
Super User Sam Posted June 17, 2009 Super User Posted June 17, 2009 Love the E5's & E7's. You did good. Welcome to the Dark Side. Quote

sweet daddy Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 I think it is way over priced, but it is a good reel for beginners. Quote
Super User skunked_again Posted June 18, 2009 Super User Posted June 18, 2009 I think it is way over priced, but it is a good reel for beginners. i dis-agree. i think its the best value there is for the $150 price range. the Revo S is the only thing that competes with the reel. Quote
