chromedog Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 St. Croix Mojo Bass Spinning Rod MBS68MXF 6'8'' M EXTRA FAST or St. Croix Mojo Bass Spinning Rod MBS69MLXF 6'9'' ML EXTRA FAST I am looking for a worming/soft plastic rod that is super sensitive and reliable and light weight. Is there much difference between the rods to make me choose one over the other? Pflueger Trion GX-7 Spinning Reel 4730GX 6 LB - 115 YDS 5.2:1 24" 9.0 OZ Has anyone had any experience with any of these? Is the quality good? Will they balance well and compliment each other? Any suggestions? THanks in advance! Quote
Steven Ladner Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 You might have better luck with this in the rod/reel/line section Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted June 10, 2009 Super User Posted June 10, 2009 Get the rod rated Medium Power, not ML. I would recommend the Shimano Symetre 2500FJ or Stradic 2500FI reels. 8-) Quote

chromedog Posted June 10, 2009 Author Posted June 10, 2009 Thanks guys, I make these decisions way harder than they should be. Sorry for putting it in the wrong section. Quote
Super User .RM. Posted June 10, 2009 Super User Posted June 10, 2009 I agree with RW and flechero about the rod (No matter the brand), it should be Med Fast to Extra Fast... Quote Will they balance well and compliment each other? As far as how it feels and balances you could try to find the rod and reel in a local tackle shop and mount the reel to the rod and feel for yourself how it is in YOUR hands. If not everyone feels the balance of a system differently.... Good Luck & Tight Lines!!!! Quote
Use ONLY Stren Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 The Mojo and Trion are good choices. I own 2 Trions thay are great reels for the price. And I agree with Reel Mech. You have to feel the setup yourself to know if its right for you. Quote
