bpNClgmouth Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Ive always used braid and haven't had many problems, but I want to have one reel spooled with fluoro just in case, what size line and type would you recommend? Quote
Super User fishfordollars Posted June 5, 2009 Super User Posted June 5, 2009 I use 20 lb. Fluro. Can't answer your question. Not enough info. Type of: Reel Rod Cover Makes all the difference. Quote

Use ONLY Stren Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 15 - 20lb. I usually use XPS flouro from BPS which is very good , but I recently tried a spool of the Spiderwire Ultracast and I was suprised it had very low memory, and preformed very well. Quote
bass wrangler569 Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 I'm also a fan of the XPS fluoro, it performs very well Quote
CODbasser Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 15lb seaguar fluro for light cover, 20-25 lb seaguar fluro for heavy cover...the berkley fluro has also been good for me...not a limp and soft as the seaguar but seems to be very strong Quote
Super User Tin Posted June 7, 2009 Super User Posted June 7, 2009 15-17 pound Seagar Abraisx or Trilene 100% Quote
adclem Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 I just tried out some of the XPS fluorocarbon in 14lbs test on my jig setup and it performed flawlessly!! Very low memory and excellent knot strength and excellent abrasion resistance. Later, Quote
DINK WHISPERER Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 25lb BPS XPS fluoro! Always on my worm rods and some flippin sticks! Quote
