Hey guys im back and with questions,

I just bought a new ctica and need a new rod. I have a low price range of $50 to $75 bucks what would be a good kind of all around rod.

Also what would be a good line(brand and pound test) to complete this set up?

Thanks,

packman

try to get $90 for a rod and do either a compre or Mojo. Once you find a size you want ask on the forum if anyone wants to sell a rod. I have gotten great deals on barely used rods. You could probably get a $150 rod for 80-90 if you're patient

Might check the shimano Clarus rods, usually about 79.00 with a lifetime warranty..also the basspro shops rods are pretty decent too, I have both.

Bobby from Megastrike has an awesome deal going in the flea market section.  Rods shipped for $59.

I would suggest a 6'6" Med Heavy Cabelas Fish Eagle 2 right at 80 bucks

Fenwick Eagle GT same length and action for 70

I have used both and they are great rods for the price

I just picked up a Shimano Carbomax 6'6 MH Fast at SportsAuthority for $59 with 1 year warranty. I like it. It's strong, light, sensitive, and looks good.

I'd check it out. They were also clearing out the Shimano Schimitar rods for $29.

Good luck. OH, and the Shimano Volteus rod is in stores for $29. Light, sensitive, and very strong!
