okiefisher8 Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 I know the bucco is a brand new rod so there might not be much imput but I was wondering what the comparative advantages/disadvantges to the falcon bucco and falcon original as I am looking into buying a new rod in this price range. Also, what are the advantages of the exposed reel seat and what do you prefer? Thanks Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted May 31, 2009 Super User Posted May 31, 2009 Is the rod even on the market yet ? Quote
aarogb Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 Is the rod even on the market yet ? I have only seen it at one store which is TexasBassTackle.com. I would go with the Bucco. Even though I haven't fished it before I love exposed reel seats because they add a little bit more sensitivity in my mind. Also the Bucco looks better . Quote
HAMMER23 Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 I havent used the bucco but i am an original owner and love it. its one of my favorite rods. Quote
HAMMER23 Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Just looked at the Bucoo it looks cool. the ONLY thing i dont like is the foam. I personally like cork. Other than that its awsome. and the foam thing wouldnt stop me from buying one for good falcon quality and performance. Quote
21farms Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 i believe that it is correctly spelled BuCoo and pronounced "boo-koo" (which is urban slang for much, a lot) Quote
bass wrangler569 Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 i believe that it is correctly spelled BuCoo and pronounced "boo-koo" (which is urban slang for much, a lot) people saying "boo-koo" drives me nuts because people spell it "beaucoup," which is french and is pronounced "bo-koo" not "boo-koo". The "eau" forms the "o" sound. I know everybody uses "boo-koo" as slang but it grates on my nerves lol. As the kung-fu master in Kill Bill said, "It causes my ears great discomfort." Anyway, the rods do look awesome and at that price point I think they might sell better than the mojo. Quote
