dmac14 Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Whats the difference between the two? Also if anyone has used either how do you like them and which would be best for crankbaits from 4-14ft M or MH? Thanks -Dylan Quote
midnighthrasher Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 i picked up a 7ft MH crucial crankbait rod and put a e5 on it. caught three bass today on it and i love the reel/rod combo. stronghly suggest. heres a pic of it beside my pb smallmouth (4.1lb) i caught today Quote
TrippyJai Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 They are made from the same TC4 blanks and the only difference I think between the 2 are just the guides. So get the Compre would be better for your money. If you throw lighter cranks, get the M and MH for heavier cranks. I would think if you fished 4-14 feet, you can get away with the M, but I'll let someone with experience with the rod tell you that. I heard the rod tip is a bit stiffer so I would think M should be fine. Quote
Bantam1 Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 The Crucial rods are also slightly lighter than the Compre in the crankbait models. The other difference is the guides that was pointed out. For the money the Compre rods are tough to beat. Quote
dmac14 Posted May 14, 2009 Author Posted May 14, 2009 What would be the best power for medium to deep cranks? Quote
