midnighthrasher Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 Recently picked up 2 curado e7's. 1 of which is for my crankbait rod. I am thinking that maybe since it will only be used for crankbaits and jerkbaits maybe i should bring it back and switch it for a e5. What do you think? Quote
dmac14 Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 Yeah do it, if its for cranking a slower would be better, and if you have the opportunity. Quote

Donkey punch Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 I have one of each. I made the same mistake and bought 2- e7. I caught the mistake when I got home, and took one of them back. I like having the option to be able to slow role a spinner bait if I want to. Anyways take one back if you can. Quote
midnighthrasher Posted May 5, 2009 Author Posted May 5, 2009 Swapped it out today for a e5. Hopefully i will like it! Quote

Super User KYntucky Warmouth Posted May 5, 2009 Super User Posted May 5, 2009 How do you accidentally buy an E7 for cranks? It just seems to me that a crankbait reel takes prior planning. You can buy a 6.x or 7.x and then decide what to use it for but when you buy a cranking reel, you buy a cranking reel. Not picking or making fun, just wondering if you decided you didn't need two 7.x reels and then decided to get a 5.x. Anyway, you should really like them, I have one of each and while my E5 is my deep crank reel, which I rarely throw, it performs very well. Quote
STK001 Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 The E5 is sweet and very versatile. I love it! You will too! Quote
