If you want a Carrot Stix save some money and put your reel on a golf club! That's pretty much what it will feel like on the actual rod. ;D

I guess you haven't fished with one then. I'm curious to hear your reasoning on this. Are you trying to say they are heavy?

Why would you assume that i haven't fished with one!?! If i commented about it than just maybe i have used one and that is why i said what i said!!!!!!

I was being sarcastic, implying that you are completely wrong about them being heavy. They may not be the absolute lightest, but they are by no stretch of imagination heavy.

According to my measurements, the Carrot Stix LTX is most likely the lightest rod on the market. That said, I've not weighed a Loomis GLX. But using the old five-finger measuring method, the LTX is as light (if not lighter) than the GLX.

No need to measure a GLX...the Carrot is lighter. The Carrot and GLX blank probably are close in weight, but the GLX adds a full trigger handle and fuji reel seat....not to mention SiC rings which weigh more than the thin stainless rings on the carrot. My only gripe about my carrots were the guides. They are the same SS guides that are on the Berkley lightnting rods. The Carrot went all out to weigh as little as possible, but the Berkley SS guides are the main gripe of most. I see their conundrum though....Alconites would weigh quite a bit more...and Sic's are too expensive.  The Berkley SS guides are extremely light and very inexpensive.
