Captain Obvious Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Anybody ever use these? It seems like there the only reel in the $100 price range that comes in a 5.2:1 and a 6.3:1. Capt.O Quote
MSPbass Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 I have several Pfluegers and I find my Trion cranking reel quite trustworthy. It's not flashy, but maybe that's what makes it so solid. It's a very smooth reel too. A see lot of pros still use their old Trions. Quote
Super User Muddy Posted April 30, 2009 Super User Posted April 30, 2009 With the exception of one BPS Extreme (Back up status these days) This is the only reel I use. I liked the NS version but have come to appreciate the wide spool, as its easier for me to thumb I have 4 6.3 and one 5.2 and I love these reels, they are solidly made, and easily serviced. Both by Pflueger themselves ( never more than a 15 day turn around) and J.Francho will clean them, one of our members. I like centrifugal brakes and no bells and whistles , I have also bought all of them right here, used for no more than 45 bucks! Quote
Super User dodgeguy Posted May 1, 2009 Super User Posted May 1, 2009 best reel in that price range hands down!!! Quote
