MillerTime Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 After getting to spend some time on the water with my 7'8" heavy/fast 21 Carrot Gold I feel I'm ready to pass some judgement: Line Guides- They may be cheap looking but so far show no wear from the 65# PowerPro that's spooled on my Revo SX. Sensitivity- Pretty good. Not Amazing but definitely a few steps up from my BPS Nitro which is also spooled with braid for those wondering. Balance- Very good. My cousin has a 7'3" regular Carrot Stix paired with a Viento and it feels VERY tip heavy where I don't notice this with mine. Maybe it's due to cork grips on the Gold versus foam on the regular? Aesthetics- Either you like them or you don't. I love the way they look but thats my opinion and you know what they say about those... Overall- I really like this rod. It feels very solid and well built and I would recommend one to somebody looking for a rod in the $200 range. Hope this helps someone! Quote
aarogb Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 I am glad you like it. I have a regular Carrot Stix flipping stick and I also love it. Quote

My neighbor asked me that once. I looked at him serious as could be and told him grass carp. He doesn't ask me anymore. ;D Quote
