What is the best color for trick worms in clear,staind and murky water.I have a pack in june bug what is the best water condition to use that color?

Heavily stained water or brown tannic water is best for junebug.Just about all i use.Good nightime color too.

I love junebug is very clear waters personally.

For stained water I go for okachobee craw or green pumpkin.

For murky, I go with a black/blue laminate or sand.

I hate to say it, but I love those pink trick worms.

They are fun to watch zig-zag all over the water and you can clearly see the bass inhale them.

As for other colors, I use white and some darker colors when the water conditions call for a dark color.

Regarding junebug, excellent color.  

So try them all and let us know which ones work the best.

I use watermelon candy and black for most water conditions.

I fish clear to moderatly stained most of the time and I have GREAT results with a pink trickworm. Even in the clearest water. Big pre spawn females just crush it. After the spawn though the effectiveness of pink seems to decrease for me, green pumpkin works well after that.

Green Pumpkin and watermelon candy are steady producers for me in all water conditions. But one color that really shines in muddy or dirty water is junebug/red flake

Muddy: Green Pumpkin, Green Pumpkin Red

Stained: Green Pumpkin

Clear: Green Pumpkin

What is the best presentation for a trick worm then.Theres lots of ways to fish a trick so what is the best way that u found.

Different situations dictate what presentation is best. Mainly confidence.

What I should have said was, good technique trumps color.

On the lake I fish split shot rigs, shakey heads and weightless work best (for me).

But I have to force myself to fish slow with any of these. Fishing slow is more important than color choice.

 A number of years ago "Motor Oil" was a popular color with a few companies and I liked it. Zoom came back with that color (not quite what I remember). Bought a pack of Trick Worms in that color. I'll give 'em a try when it warms up a little.

 Some of you were talking weightless. Are you letting it sink to the bottom and moving it slow or maybe like a Fluke?

I have only bought 3 colors of Zoom Trick Worms. They are Green Pumpkin, (This purplish color but I forgot its name) and Bubble Gum.

Clear water: Green Pumpkin and that purplish color that I forgot its name.

Do those gawdy colors work in stained water?dark green or brown water is what I normally fish and use junebug or blackor red shad.Been trying to figure out what water type the loud colors work in.

I used trickworms a lot this year on a shaky head.  My favorite colors for stained waters was Banana Seed (yellow w/Black Fleck) and Bruised Banana (Yellow/Brown Swirl).  Both are suprisingly good colors, not as bright as a Chartreuse.  In muddy water the yellow still worked, but black worked best.  I don't get a chance to fish much clear water, so I have no advice there...

This is how I fish a trick worm weightless.

I use a spinning rig with 6# or 8# line.

I use as small a hook as I can get away with. The best in my opinion is an Owner Rigging Hook #1/0 for Trick worms and #1 for finesse worms. These hooks are short with a nice gap. They don't impede the worms natural action.

I cast to my target and let it glide to bottom, count 20 seconds then twitch, count about 20 more seconds then slowly retrieve.

I use this technique when the bite is really tough.

The lite line and small hook lets the worms tail really quiver.

I still to this day have not caught a fish on a zoom trickworm. I have a few packs, but they just don't seem to work for me dont know..

Clear: Watermellon seed

Tannic (Tea colored): Junebug

Take those Junebug colored Trick worms to Florida and you can catch a ton of fish!

The color I use depends on how I plan on using it. If I am using them wacky style then I like white, pink, and watermelon. If I am using them on a shaky head or mojo rig then watermelon or green pumpkin.
