midnighthrasher Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 Since yo-zuri hybrid has a higher breaking strength than other lines should i lower my #test rating. I was gonna pick up 14lb mono for spinnerbaits/buzzbaits/topwater and 10lb fluoro for crankbaits/jerbaits. Both are on curado e's and crucial rods. Also can i use hybrid for a leader on the rods that i use braid? Thanks Quote
MichBassMan Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 #12 yo-zuri ultra soft for all you mentioned. Good all round stuff. Quote
Super User Micro Posted April 24, 2009 Super User Posted April 24, 2009 I find that 10# is perfect for big crankbaits. I use 12# for heavier duties. Quote

adclem Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 #12 yo-zuri ultra soft for all you mentioned. Good all round stuff. All you need right there, Yo-Zuri Hybrid or Ultra Soft in 12lbs and you are good to go. Don't see why you couldn't use it as leader with braid. Never have tried it though. Later, Quote
Matt 825 Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 I just ordered a couple spools of Yozuri Hybrid from TW after reading about it for months on this board. I am going to spool up both of my topwater rods with it. I did use 20 lb mono on my heavier topwater rod, but I am going with 15 lb hybid and 12 lb hybrid for my lighter topwater rod. Quote
