Hatty Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 I think both of these are quality lines, but wanted everyone's opinion on which they preferred. Quote
Super User islandbass Posted April 22, 2009 Super User Posted April 22, 2009 I have used and like both. Elite if only for its ability to resist memory. Quote
adclem Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 I tried Suffix Elite and did not like it. I felt it had pretty bad memory. I have only tried Trilene XL once and thought it was ok. If I had too choose one of the 2 I would probably go with the Trilene XL. But if I could use any line it would be Yo-Zuri Hybrid or Ultra Soft. Awesome line and best of both worlds. Later, Quote
michaelkim_9582 Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 i use suffix siege and its the best ive used. strens not bad either Quote
Jake. Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 Sufix Elite. It's stronger but still casts very well. Quote
basser89 Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 I've tried them both and like Elite a little better. I like Sufix Siege better than the Elite though. Quote

Super User iceintheveins Posted April 22, 2009 Super User Posted April 22, 2009 They both stink IMO, especially Trilene XL which is very brittle with little abrasion resistance. The best mono for me is Original Stren. P - Line CX Premium is good stuff too, though a little more memory than stren. Quote
Super User Hammer 4 Posted April 23, 2009 Super User Posted April 23, 2009 I have used triline xl for awhile, then switched to Izorline xxx, then after listening to RW preach about YoZuri, I finally gave in and got some 12lb for my baitcaster, since then I've switched to YoZuri hybrid ultra soft on my spinning reels to, so far it's the best line I've used.. fivesixone Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 IMO Sufix Siege is better than Elite. I get less memory with it and it seems just as strong. Can't go wrong with the XL, but I'd say try some Siege. Quote
