Just wondering if anybody knows........how is tackle warehouse able to sell Kistler Helium LTA's for 199 when they're 270 everywhere else?  I'm a loyal customer of TW, but 70 bucks off makes me kinda leery.

idk.....maybe that they're not the most recent model.  I guess leery was a poor choice of words.......I'm just surprised they can trim that much off the cost.

I wouldnt be leery of anything from TW.  Everytime I have purchased something from them it has been what I wanted and in perfect condition.  Not to mention they ship fast too.

maybe they are selling them for cost... hoping to recoup the profit on reels and line, etc.

I trust TW...  I've never had a bad experience there.

my guess is that those LTAs at TW are the 2008 models. the 2009s have a rounder rear grip and less black thread in front of the winding checks.

Thanks Frank, you answered the question that was really trying to get at, I just picked a horrible way to ask it ;)

also.....just to be clear.....I wasn't trying to bring the quality of TW into question.  I've never had a problem with them, and their customer service is the best I've dealt with.

Those rods pictured are the 2009 models. Looks like they have a different cork on those rods. Probably some of the first runs until they decided to use the burl cork. I think I would rather pay the extra money to have the burled cork.

They are just awesome man, that's all! They just recently price matched a rod for me and even gave me two free t-shirts too! I love those guys!!!  ;D

I wouldn't  worry about it and feed the bait monkey ;D.  They just have the best price on anything and everything you couldn't think of that pertains to bass fishing.

That isn't anywhere close to cost on those rods.
