Super User Raul Posted April 14, 2009 Super User Posted April 14, 2009 But not your everyday Revo, I want this Revo : Quote
Uncle Leo Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Please tell, what is it and where can we get it? Quote
Super User Raul Posted April 14, 2009 Author Super User Posted April 14, 2009 http://www.karil.co.jp/ktf/revoworks/ Not bad for a 55,000 yen reel. Quote
Big Tom Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Well, buy me one too while you are at it. That reel looks mean! Quote
Super User KYntucky Warmouth Posted April 14, 2009 Super User Posted April 14, 2009 Definaltey could handle owning that revo...kinda looks like the Elite CB Quote
Stasher1 Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 It's nice, but somebody put the handle on the wrong side. Quote
Pantera61 Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 There is at least 1 JDM Revo in the States. Not the one Raul has shown us, however. Somewhat less, modded, shall we say? Quote
Super User Raul Posted April 14, 2009 Author Super User Posted April 14, 2009 It's nice, but somebody put the handle on the wrong side. I suppose they must also have them with the handle where God meant it to be. Quote
ChazfromVA Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Thats a bad looking reel right there... so how much does 55,000 yen equate to be in US? lol Quote
The_Natural Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 The spool and handle are nice, but other than that is just a revo (not that there is anything wrong with that ) The Pfluegur guys should be excited as well....those aftermarket parts probably fit their reels . Quote

C 'mon Natural, saying that it 's just a Revo is like saying that a Mörrum SX AE74 is just a 1600C Mörrum. Well, at least this one is 300 bones less than a Mörrum. Quote

Au contraire, mon frere. Some of the bearings are upgraded, the drive and pinion gears are upgraded, two other gears are upgraded and one other thing that is slipping my mind at the moment but it's shown on the video. Quote
Super User Raul Posted April 14, 2009 Author Super User Posted April 14, 2009 Yup, it 's like your stock Mustang vs a Roush or a Saleen or a Porsche vs a RUF. Quote
Super User cart7t Posted April 15, 2009 Super User Posted April 15, 2009 Yup, it 's like your stock Mustang vs a Roush or a Saleen or a Porsche vs a RUF. And the braking system is improved to what? I'll say one thing, it looks like the spool can't hold much more than 60 yds of line or so. Just less backlash to pick out. Quote
Super User flechero Posted April 15, 2009 Super User Posted April 15, 2009 Cart, Do I sense a little optimism in your pessimism? ;D Quote

I concede. I didn't look it up; just commenting on what I saw. Upgraded gears is a suprising mod; most spin-off reels just sport an upgraded spool, handle, and paint job. Still not worth $500 bones, but those crazy japanese will pay it though. Quote

Uhhhh, let 's see Daiwa Zillion limited edition $300 TDZ spool $80 That makes 380 ........ man you getting close and that 's without the handle and the cork knobs. Quote

I should say 'I' wouldn't pay $500 bones for it, but from a manufacturing standpoint....fabricating gears and such isn't easy or inexpensive work, so they aren't out of line asking that for it in today's market I suppose. The Japan limited thing is out of control IMHO; the Japan limited zillion has a $280 handle! Quote
