I have been useing sufix braid on my baitcaster and I have been haveing trouble with its knot strength. I use 50lb sufix with 12lb leader but when I tie a double uni knot the braid in the loop of the knot brakes. I have lost a few lures and I need some ideas.                             thanks

Really, I have not had any knot failures when using a leader with braid.  I use Power Pro braid with fluorocarbon leader and use the double uni knot.

What are you using for the leader?

Interesting, i use 40lb suffix and never have any problems.... I use straight braid in freshwater, but in salt i tie on about 8 ft of 40 lb mono....... for that i use an alberto knot, and never had an issue....

its basically an albright, but wrapped downwards, then back up with the same amount of loops....google alberto knot to see details.....

thats all i got...hope it helps!!
