Line for spinnerbaits and buzzbaits

I plan on using berkley big game for spinnerbaits, buzzbaits and topwater. I fish a clear weedy lake. I am wondering what my best choice is for # test. After searching the forums some people say 15# minimum, 20# preferably. What do you think 12#, 15# or 20#

I like 17# Sufix Siege for most of my spinnerbaits (1/8 to 5/8oz). If I'm throwing 3/4oz or bigger, I'll go heavier. If the cover is light, I'll use 14# Sufix Siege and obviously, if the cover is heavier, I'll up the pound test there as well. I've never used Big Game for either applications but when I did throw Berkley lines, I used Trilene XT in 14, 17 and 20#. Hope that helps!

I go with 12 pound flouro for both baits unless I am in heavy cover and then I will bump up to 17 pound test.

Seems lots of guy go heavier than 12 pound test by reading the above posts.

It is personal choice.  Since I use the same buzzbait and spinnerbait rig for other baits I go with the 12 pound test as it is an all around good test for many presentations.

Heavier the cover/structure the higher the test.

I use 50# Spiderwire Stealth for both, regardless of water clarity or cover/lack of. It's the diameter of 12# mono.

I use 12 pound test monofilament with 3/8 oz or smaller spinnerbaits in any kind of cover and I currently use Sufix Elite. With larger spinnerbaits I like to use 17 lb test.
