I am fishing a crucial crank bait rod with a curado e on it. I am having difficulty choosing a line for it. I have searched the forum here and the bps outdoor forums. I cant make up my mind between mono or fluorocarbon.

Mono- more stretch, higher visibility

Fluoro- runs cranks deeper, low visibility

I am in between berkley big game for mono and seaguar invisx or berkley 100% fluo for fluorocarbon.

How does 12# sound?

I fish a clear weedy lake.

Thanks

I would drop down to 10lb fluoro, but if you are in really heavy weeds, go ahead and use the 12lb.  I use 10lb P-line 100% fluoro for both and haven't broke it yet, even when ripping cranks through the grass.

I just spooled my rod for jerkbaits with 12# yo zuri hybrid.  It is my first experience with it, but after hearing all the good things about it on this site I decided to give it a shot.  Too bad I haven't had a chance to use it yet.
