Hot n Tot Posted July 16, 2005 Posted July 16, 2005 Spinning: Shimano Sustain 2500FD Casting: Recently I've been enjoying my Abu-Garcia TP3600C, and yes I have 4 Curados and a Castaic, and they are nice..but the Abu rocks! Quote

lovecranking Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 Baitcasters: Curado Spincasting: Stradic Quote
utser Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 lew's gss, really takes a whoppin. no baitcast yet, any advice? Quote
Tenka Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 I like both my 5500C5 and my 6501C6 for bait cast, Right now my Quantum Vapor is my Spinning choice. Quote
5_Fish Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 All anyone ever needs to buy are Stradics and Curados. They are the best value on the market, because of their quality and the fact that they last forever. Quote
Flatfish Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 Shimano Cardiff, the other Round Reel Okuma Expior 30, that is one awsome reel for the money. Quote
CBedo Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 Shimano Castaic SF, basically an Curado SF with thumb engagment system. So smooth. Quote
Hot n Tot Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 All anyone ever needs to buy are Stradics and Curados. They are the best value on the market, because of their quality and the fact that they last forever. Curados yes, Stradics definately not. Symetries are cheaper and much smoother and quieter Quote
Guest avid Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 Well fella's y'all make a good case for the curado but I hate to tell ya, the team Daiwa Sol is a better reel. Now for spinning I think the Symetre is the bomb. It's just as smooth and strong as can be and it don't matter that it's cheaper at $80.00 Quote
sinker48 Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 Spinning----OKUMA METALOID Baitcast----CURADO I think, have not mastered it yet but it's not the reels fault. Good Luck! Sinker48 Quote
Pa Angler Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 I like the Tica Taurus Silver and Libra spinning reels although I did buy two Quantum PTI 30 Energies real smooth. Chow The Pa Angler Quote
Hans Posted July 21, 2005 Posted July 21, 2005 My fav is my 20 year old Lew's BB1NG. I still have all my "original" Lew's rods and reels and still use them everytime out on the water. All of them are over 20 years old and are as good now as when new. My second favs are my old Shimano Bantam mags. Also about 20 years old. They have matching Shimano Fightin rods with them. I guess I just like the older stuff ;D Hans Quote
Max-in-Mn Posted July 21, 2005 Posted July 21, 2005 baitcast-Curado, and my older Abu Garcias {tough as nails I swear} spinning- no real favorite but I love my shimano Sahara. Have to try Okuma's next. Quote
Bama_Bass_Tracker Posted July 22, 2005 Posted July 22, 2005 My favorites? Shimano Corsair CS300 and CS300A. Both super smooth, super quiet, and strong. Both mounted on 6' Berkley Lightning Rod's. Quote
Spencer W Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 I have a couple of old shimano 10xsg's, i love em they cast a mile and have never let me down Quote
