Brian4618 Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 I need to add more braid line to one of my reels, is there a knot I can tie 2 ends of the line together with without it coming apart? Quote

Super User SirSnookalot Posted April 2, 2009 Super User Posted April 2, 2009 I don't get too fancy with knots and I join braid all the time on my tarpon outfit(20#PP). 2 cinch knots 6 twists and I take my time and do it in a non windy area, singe the loose ends with a cigarette, this will prevent pull thru and drop of super glue doesn't hurt either. This work 100% of the time, braid to braid, braid to mono, mono to mono. Quote
Super User Wayne P. Posted April 2, 2009 Super User Posted April 2, 2009 I use the same knot as when adding a leader- a uni-uni knot with six turns on both sides. No slipping, go glue, no problems. I also use the same knot for other type line connections Quote
Tokyo Tony Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Uni to uni, make seven turns on each end. Braid to flouro/mono, uni to uni with seven turns on the braid, four on the flouro/mono. Very strong, small diameter, and easy-to-tie knot. Quote
