uicdent11 Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 I am probably going to purchase one tomorrow or in the near future and was wondering what your favorite one is. It seems like most companies make one, but they are usually only carried in 1 or 2 of their models. I am also a lefty so that narrows it down even more for me. I plan to use mine for frogs at first, but plan to expand its functions once I learn more techniques. Quote
KevO Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Curado 200dhsv is what I have now. I use it for almost everything. Quote
fathom Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 for the money, the curado e7 is tough to beat. Quote
SWMIBASSER Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Just about all of their reels are offered in a 7.1.1 Quote
Super User David P Posted March 7, 2009 Super User Posted March 7, 2009 Depends what I want a 7:1 reel for. When I'm fishing heavy heavy cover with a frog or punching I like my STXs, but when I'm using a jig or soft plastics I like my Zillions. Quote

dmac14 Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Quantum Tour Edition 11 bearing 7:1 Reel - TE1170PT x2 but the TE1171 cause its the left hand model. Own two of them and happen to love them, and you can get them new for about $120. Doesnt break the bank and offers a great reel. Quote
Jacob0434 Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 I'd have to say my Curado D is pretty darn sweet. Haven't fish for bass (I'm in N. Utah ) with it, but I've fished with it for trout and am surprised how well it cast light setups. Plus I Only paid $70.00 for a brand new reel Quote
Tanker4lyfe Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 CURADO E7 the best by far light as can be cast like butter and you cant beat the price Quote
Super User South FLA Posted March 7, 2009 Super User Posted March 7, 2009 The Zillion. Fast, smooth retrieve. x2 Quote
-HAWK- Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Shimano Curado E7, unbeatable. You will be hard pressed to find a better reel for less than $200. Quote
