Super User Tin Posted March 5, 2009 Super User Posted March 5, 2009 Love my 6'9 and 7'3 LTX Medium-Heavy rods for jigs and texas rigged plastics.... Quote
Bass Dude Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 Do you ever get over that orange color?? That is the main reason I never bought one, I don't think I could handle seeing that bright orange blank in the morning!! Quote
Super User Tin Posted March 5, 2009 Super User Posted March 5, 2009 Pick one up then look at the price tag and you will forget all about the color... The only two issues I have are the hook-hangers on the spinning rods and the guides do not seem too durable. But I havent had an issue with them yet. Best $150 I have ever spent on anything fishing related... Quote

Best $150 I have ever spent on anything fishing related... No dought! The color doesnt bother me at all. I too felt the guides werent the best, but they seem to be holding up great on both of my rods. I too hate how they have the hook hangers. On the casting rods it seems any hook you put in it will cause it to scratch up. Overall this is a GREAT rod and i highly suggest it for the money. For plastics and mid sized jigs id go for the MH. Blade-Runner Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 I'm itching for the 7'2" parabolic as the primary component in my new ultimate all-purpose cranking machine. Quote

FordNFishinLover Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 I'm itching for the 7'2" parabolic as the primary component in my new ultimate all-purpose cranking machine. Go for it! I love mine! I use any type of cranks from shallow- to some 10 foot bombers. Ill tell you how it does with DD22's after this weekend though Quote
daviscw Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 People always like to bring up the different guides, but the way I see it you will never have the opportunity to break ceramic. I have 2 Carrots and I love them. If I had one complaint I would wish that the grip was a little longer, but it doesn't bother me too much. I use the 6'9" MH for jigs and plastics and the 6'9" Parabolic for trebles. Quote
The_Natural Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 I actually like the color....but I admit my taste is more contemporary than your average fisherman. Quote
FunnyFish Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 I love my 7' carrot stick. Guides are still going strong, lifetime guarantee, and for 150 yea great price. Plus, I had great experiance with customer service with them. Quote
ChazfromVA Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 i love my carrot stik... and i personally like the bright orange color.. gives it a unique quality haha.. but i would go with the mh for t-rigs and jigs.. i just bought me a 7' xh for froggin.. i cant wait to try it out Quote
ChazfromVA Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 a buddy of mine has the 7'6 H and i liked it for swimbaits... long enough for casting and strong enough to get em in.. and feather light! makes a long day chunking lures a little easier on the wrist Quote
toothdoc Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 And if anyone wants a 7'6" HF one, I have one for sale here. It is the Boyd Duckett Gold series. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1236738620 Quote
The Next KVD Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 My next rod is going to be the 7'6" H/f. I held it at Cabela's over the weekend and tested the power and loved it. Lightest flipping stick I've ever had the honor of holding, can't wait to own one!! I love the orange color, and i don't even own one yet. None of my friends own one and I can't wait till they get a look at that bad boy orange. Quote
The Next KVD Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 On second thought though, Made in China doesn't really appeal to me. Quote
