Rob G. Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 I just wanted to praise Pure Fishing for their customer service. Last year I bought a couple of ABU Revo STX HS reels and thought they were the best reels that I had ever handled. One of them I used for pitching and flipping, the other with braid and swim jigs. Well, the swim jig reel went kapoot after about three months. I caught a ton of fish on this rig. Anyways, I procrastinated sending it back to Pure Fishing until last week. I enclosed a note explaining the problem and asked Pure Fishing to assess the problem, fix, and bill me. Well, four business days after I sent it, I received a brand new reel from them. No explanation included, which is ok except for my curiousity not being satisfied. Great customer service though! Quote
Super User Micro Posted March 16, 2009 Super User Posted March 16, 2009 I had to return a Cardinal 502ALB because the bail line roller bearing went. They sent me a brand new reel, too. I've also had to order some parts (mainly screws I've buggered up) and I got those free of charge. I don't know what else you could ask for. Their customer service is fantastic. Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted March 16, 2009 Super User Posted March 16, 2009 I concur.......... I have sent reels back to Pure fishing for simple cleanings and they send me new reels, they also are serving Pflueger now. DA BEST !!! They treat you like a customer ! I have had dealings with probably the most popular manufacturer on here and they treat you poorly and the turnaround time is like 4-5 weeks and don't pay the freight back even for warranty work. They seem to act like "elitists", when in fact their product is on a par with others and it's 25% overpriced to begin with. Quote

I totally agree, I sent 4 Morrum reels(fished hard for 12 years with lots of boat rash) to them to be repaired if possible. Was cost prohibitive to repair. Gave me $90.00 ea off on 3 Revo STX L. and a Revo Winch. Got $800.00 worth of reels for $440.00 and had them at my door in 2 days. Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted March 16, 2009 Super User Posted March 16, 2009 I have yet to send a pflueger in but have shipped abus to them. They request return shipping 9.95 but don't send it, I never have Fill out this form, it's generic http://www.abugarcia.com/media/File/023754ReelRepairReturnForm.pdf my experiences have always 100% positive Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted March 17, 2009 Super User Posted March 17, 2009 Wouldn't hurt to call first. Quote
Super User MALTESE FALCON Posted March 17, 2009 Super User Posted March 17, 2009 Two years ago, my Abu Garcia D5 went on the fritz three months past the warranty date. I sent it in on Tuesday evening, and Friday afternoon there was a new reel on my doorstep. Best customer service ever. Falcon Quote
