It's a Daiwa. You can't go wrong.

When searching for a 7:1 reel I looked hard at this reel as well. I found mixed reviews on cabela's that ended in me purchasing something different.

I went with the Quantum Burst but have yet to use it. Good luck with your search.

I Fish mainly my TD-X's TD-Z's TD-ITO's Zillions and a few Steezand Pixys I got.. I fish nothing but Daiwa and the Exceler is a GREAT reel for 80 bucks, I have 2 of them that I use for salt water as I wont put my high end bass reels in salt water... I fish for Red fish every once in a while and thats what I use them for! they throw lighter baits ok like say 1/8 oz anything over 1/4 oz they throw GREAT.. They have lasted really well even useing them in salt water.. they look pretty cool and to tell you the truth  fish about as good as my zillions they just arent as solid feeling but the zillion is more then 3 times the price of it too... they are a tad on the heavy side too.. the palm really well and have a solid frame and are really smooth and like i said cast baits from 1/8 to 1 oz REALLY well... I wouldnt get all 7.1's tho get you a 6.3 and 7.1's the 7.1's have a red anodized spool and the 6.3's have a silverish anodized spool.. the breaking system on the reels is really good as is all Daiwas and you will really like the swept handles on them! Also they dont have Micro click drag or spool adjustment but its a 80 dollar reel! and it fishes like a 200 dollar reel and thats no kidding....if you buy from basspro they have a TD-Pro (you can only get it from bassproshops) its got 11+1 bearings, its the same frame as the exceler and handle and all that but it has bearing supported handle knobs! its 99 bucks but you can get them on sale for 70.00 its color looks SWEET too! all in all they are REALLY REALLY good reels for the price and you wont be dissapointed with the reels I assure you that..it lacks some of the higher end reels features that are there for convienance (I cant spell lol) but they dont lack anything when it comes to performance.. another reel to look at is a Daiwa Tierra my wife has one and loves it...hope this helps ya out in your search!

Go to BPS and get the TD-Pro. It's a BPS exclusive reel. They took the Exceler and did a bearing upgrade on it.

I just picked up the 7:1 at the Spring Classic sale for $99.99. They are normally $119.99.

I now have two of them in 6.3:1 and one in 7:1. I absolutely love the reel.
