I am in a computer lab bored out of my mind. Below I listed what rods and reels I have from memory. I also added the specific technique I use with the combo. What would you suggest that I get to complete my selection.

Casting

Chronarch 51mg -(Cumara 6'8 MH in the mail)- small jigs/trig

Shimano citica 200? -St. Croix avid 6'6 med fast- cranks

Revo S -Quantum tour edition PT 7'6 heavy xtra fast- fllipping/pitching/frogs

Pfleuger trion -fish eagle II 6'6 med fast-cranks

Spinning

Stradic 2500 FH -St Croix Avid 7' med fast- poppers/walk the dog baits/jerkbaits

Generic 6' spinning cheaper shimano reel- light weight to weightless plastics

My thoughts

I would like to get a dropshot setup that I could also use to replace my lightweight and weightless plastics.

I would also like to get a frog specific setup. This past year I used my flipping stick for everything from punching mats to frogging. Usually when I am flipping mats or frogging I would like to have both options without retying. I also want to use braid only with frogs and use a heavy mono for flipping/pitching. Last year I was breaking off 55lb power pro on the hookset when I was pitching beavers into slop. I think it was due to the lack of stretch of the line and the torque on the hookset.

Any thoughts?

What you have is fine

You don 't "need" anything else

Now "what you want" is a different issue.

You want a D-shot rod & reel ---> get one

You want a dedicated frog set up ---> get one

I 've got a bunch of gear, I can fish all day all techniques but heavy swimbaits with two rods, a medium fast and a medium heavy fast.

Clipping off a bait & retying a new one takes me 20-30 seconds.

Come on Robby!

Had you mentioned this to us the other day, we could have spent your money for you!  ;D

Rod wise, the only one I checked out that would have made a decent drop shot rod would have been that Mojo  6'6" ML.

Just one, don't set the hook so hard!   8-)

Hooksets with braid do not have to be as forceful as mono.  Braid doesn't stretch so less power is required for an effective hookset.

My pockets aren't very deep lately. I will be losing my job on Sunday. I came out of BPS like a champ... only spent $8 on a lure knocker.

I was checking out some frog rod threads and many people said they like the dobyns 735 or 736. On TW which rod is that? http://www.***.com/descpageDCASTROD-DCCT.html

There is something about a 7'6 rod that makes you want to rip the lips off of those bass. I will def. try to let up on the hookset. Good advice tyrius.

For some reason, that intro just made me laugh out loud for a second.

Your setup looks awful good to me. I have a nigh-similar variety but not quite as high-quality (though I'm getting there)...

A 6'6-7' MH lower-modulus graphite rod w/ an all-purpose high-speed utility baitcaster for blades or shallow crankbaits could be good, but you've got multiple rods that could double for that. I just didn't see a dedicated spinnerbait rod on your description so I thought I'd mention it. I use an older IM7 Shimano Clarus (6'6" MH) w/ 15 lb. Big Game as an all-purpose spinnerbait rod or for throwing big shallow "irritator" plugs (Balsa-B's, square-bills, etc) or for large jerkbaits.

You might also include a setup you wouldn't punch out a car-window over losing! For instance, a cheaper river-rod/reel or something to fish out of a johnboat/canoe with...

Nice assortment!
