aarogb Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Personal I think you should get every kind of rod you can afford because it beats having to retie every 5 or so minutes when you want to try something new. Now I really don't know a good 2-piece cranking rod but a good 1-piece would be the KVD signature series 7' meduim casting rod. 8-) Quote
J. M. Richardson Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 For Christmas this year I recieved a 2 piece 6'6 medium heaving Cabela's Series IM6 casting rod with a Abu garcia ambassador reel. Have yet to try it out, but the rod seems pretty stiff and high quality for relatively low cost. By the way, if anyone has a suggestion for what kind of line to spool my ambassador real with, I'd open to those. I will mostly be throwing topwaters, crankbaits and spinnerbaits with it. Thanks, Justin Quote
Super User Wayne P. Posted March 2, 2009 Super User Posted March 2, 2009 Most of the 2-piece rods I see displayed have a light enough action that make them suitable for cranking. Quote
