Lobster Monster Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 I got a Pflueger Trion low profile baitcaster for Christmas one year, and it recently broke. Whenever I press the button to release line, the spool does not let the line release. Whenever I start reeling to click the button back into place, it rarely actually clicks back and I end up just spinning the reel around without moving the spool. I've got the exploded diagram that came with the reel and I've been able to go as far as to take apart the handle of the reel and take the screws out of the casing but I can't get the casing on the handle side off. Does anyone here have any experience working with this reel? Quote

FishingPirate Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Ive got an echolon and couldnt get the side plate off. I finally realized that there is a screw on the inside that you have to take the spool side cover+spool out to reach. Quote
Super User dodgeguy Posted March 1, 2009 Super User Posted March 1, 2009 or send it to bass pro shops reel repair and let them fix it. Quote
Lobster Monster Posted March 1, 2009 Author Posted March 1, 2009 Thank you so much Pirate, that was exactly what I needed to do. Unfortunately I couldn't fix the problem. I'll have to send it to someone when I get some money. Quote
