Darrin Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Does anyone know what kind of braid is colored (Red,Yellow, Neon fire) that will be visible above water but disappears under water or does braid do this like mono will. Any help would be appreciated. Quote
fathom Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 would like to know this, as well. got a bcr i'd love to put braid on and the eyes sure can't see green like they used to. Quote
Super User Wayne P. Posted February 24, 2009 Super User Posted February 24, 2009 None will unless it is night time with no moon light. Quote
rippin_lips Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Powerpro claims their phantom red braid dissapears in 15 feet of water. I havn't used it so I don't know if that is true or just another marketing claim. Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted February 24, 2009 Super User Posted February 24, 2009 Only translucent (allowing light to pass thru) lines are invisible, braid isn't, just use a leader. Quote
Super User Wayne P. Posted February 24, 2009 Super User Posted February 24, 2009 rippin_lips, the Power Pro claim is misleading. It is true that the red color disappears in 15' of clear water, but the line does not disappear. When the red color of the spectrum is filtered out by the water, the line appears dark brown to black. jack1 Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Never tried this line yet, but this braided line is suppose to be less visable under water if I'm correct. http://www.stren.com/cat.php?k=89242&sk=50685 Quote
