Fish with it?  I was just going to fondle it for awhile.  Maybe take it out to dinner.  You know, make it my main squeeze.

man that is a sweet reel.... does bass pro shop hold them??

BPS does not carry them last time I checked.  They carry the 7.3:1, 7.1:1 and the 6.3:1 but not the 4.9:1.   I ordered this one from Tackle Warehouse.

Man, that's beautiful!

8-)

Uh Oh, something bad is gonna happen. Kent is calling Daiwa reels beautiful.

Nice reel Rowland. Do the knobs have screws or are they rivets? If they have screws let me know and I will send you some bearings to put in those knobs.

I just checked.  They are riveted.

Underneath the plastic caps on the paddles are rivets?  Almost all my Daiwas have a screw there.  Remove that screw, and the paddle slides off the handle post.  That's surprising if its rivets on a reel of that caliber.  I guess they want you to upgrade to an I'ze handle instead of just adding bearings.  My partner just picked up one of these, and I'll have to take a look 1st hand.

Micro...did you purchase the reel from *** or did you get it through the Demo program?  Just wondering how that works.

I bought it outright.

Sometimes you get lucky on those handles, that is why I asked if they had rivets.  Vientos are all riveted except for a very few.  I got lucky and got one that had screws.

I worked on a SOL that had screws.  I was ticked.  Mine have rivets.  :'(

Cabelas has the 4.9:1 Zillion, check their catalog or online.  That's sumthin' I'll get really thinking on when I can get a $30 coupon from Cabelas.  Wish Shimano had a lower gear ratio in the new lineup for us leftys.  I'm waiting for ICAST this summer to see if Shimano "may" have a lower gear ratio for us leftys...
