St.Croix legend tournament Rods!!!!

i have been looking at the legend tournament rods for sometime now but can decide... Are they really worth the money for the rod.. They sure are light and they look to be real senitive cause my partner uses them and he feels the slightest taps... Shoudl i spend the $$$$ and get rigged out with them!!!! :)

Are they better than the carrot stixs??? what would they be equal to in g-loomis rods??

I wanting to redo my whole arsenal.. and have about 6-7 baitcasters rods, 2 spinning combos???

help me figure the actions for each application.

Mat punchin, Flippin, Pitchin, topwater/buzzbaits, spinnerbaits, 2 crankin rods (one for shallow and one for deep), frogs, shakey, wacky, dropshot, senkos. And whatever else i missed.......

I have the Topwater Rod. 6'8" Med Fast. It doubles perfectly for light jigs. Has good sensitivity and is light. Hard to compare with a G Loomis the blanks are so much different. Very strong, landed a 18 lb Asian Carp first time I used it fishing for smallies on the Illinois River.  I was afraid it would break. If you ever hooked into one you would know what I mean. The rod perfomed flawlessly.

So you have tried them, did you like them ? if the answer is yes then I don 't know why you ask if you should jump on them.

Better than Carrots ? gee, I don 't know, I 've never tried a carrot and I don 't think I will.

GLoomis equivalent ----> IMX.

The Legend Tournament Jerkbait special is an incredible hard jerkbait rod.  Since I rarely throw anything else in prespawn or late fall I HAD to have that rod and I am glad I made the purchase.

I have limited use with carrots but I own a LTB spinning rod and I will say I believe the LTBs are better. I think they are great rods.

I love my LT's and got a great deal on all of them.  Though if you're looking to outfit yourself with so many rods I'd go for Avids

why buy the avids, i like the split grip that the LT's have

On a money saving point of view, at $220+ per rod and looking at 6 rods ... ~$1200+

I know sensitivity is relative but when comparing my avid to my LT's I couldn't feel any differences

But of course if you have the cash and love the split grip design go for it!

IMO LTB rods have a very very good blanck, but I don't like at all the guides and the reel seat. I think they could be better in a +220 $ rod.

But thinking about other rods in this price range probably the LTB is a good choice, I have the 7'6 MH fast.

On the other hand if you are looking for a jig&worm rod I think that exists a difference between the avid and the LTB. For the other aplications this difference could be not important, but for a jig&worm I think it is.

imo id get a loomis imx i had a croix lt sweeper spinnerbait rod and to be honest my shimano crucial for around 70 bucks cheaper is better imo.. with the same line and reel i felt the blades turning better on the crucial then the lt sweeper.. but id go loomis over both  ;D

I have owned 3 Legend Tourneys and the only rod that I ended up keeping was the C-Rig Rod. The Carolina rig was the best performer by far as I found most of the LTB series to be tip heavy. The Sweeper Spinnerbait rod is better suited for heavy football jigs and wouldn't recommend it for blades unless you are slow rolling them deep. I think the Avids are a better value or you can get a Loomis IMX.
