bhorlings Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 I have it rigged on every rod but my topwater rod and flippin' rod. I love the stuff. I spray KVD line conditioner on it the night before everyone outing and it's nice and smooth. As long as you tie a good knot it will be great! Quote
Jake. Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 I like the Berkley 100% best, but I've tried the BPS XPS and it was a good line. It is a little stiffer than the 100% but it does have good abrasion resistance. Quote
fathom Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 it is a tad thinner than the trilene 100%. all fluoros have a little dig on a heavy hookset...not that noticeable on dinks as on larger fish...or, in my case, stumps...generally, you can cast thru it on the next cast. my problem with the bps xps was that i could not cast thru it on the next cast...on any hookset, the next cast would stop on the spool at however much line i had out when i had set the last hook. for that reason, it lasted two fish before i pulled it off the spool. I've been using it on my braid. Should I not be? From the horse's mouth.... KVD Line & Lure is Great for braid. Will help with wind Knots and keep the factory finish intact longer. I found that it was easy to tie knots (I use the uni-knot almost exclusively) and I had no issues with break-offs. I also used Seaguar Carbon Pro 15# on my main jig combo last year and it was a very good line. I plan to buy more of the BPS XPS Fluoro during the upcoming Spring Fishing Classic, if they put it on sale again like they normally do. Quote
