Super User Muddy Posted January 10, 2009 Super User Posted January 10, 2009 I am not a split grip fan, but all you asked for is a listing; New From Cabela's Their Prodigy Rods, I have no opinion on these rods, just giving you a link: http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/pod/horizontal-pod.jsp?id=0064413&navCount=1&parentId=cat20372&masterpathid=&navAction=push&cmCat=MainCatcat20166-cat20372&parentType=index&indexId=cat20372&rid= Quote
Hooked_On_Bass Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Here ya go (I know it's a Daiwa, but it can be done ): http://daiwa.com/Rod/detail.aspx?ID=451 I just bought the TDZL701XHFB to match up with my Zillion 7.1 and it feels GREAT! Quote
highbars92 Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 I have the Berkley Shock lightning rod series rod in spinning and casting and absolutely love them. I also bought a couple of the Berkley Amp rods and they are pretty good for a rod under 30 bucks. Quote
Super User firefightn15 Posted January 13, 2009 Super User Posted January 13, 2009 Welcome to the forum highbars92. You don't happen to have one of the shocks in 7' ml do you? Looking for an economy rod for panfishing. Quote
highbars92 Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Thanks I have 3 7'6"ml spinning shocks that I use for inshore fishing.I just ordered a 7" shock casting that I'm going to put a Abu silver max on. I have a 6' Amp and a 7' Amp spinners that I also use.Unfortunately I don't have any for sale. Quote
Super User firefightn15 Posted January 14, 2009 Super User Posted January 14, 2009 Ha, I wasn't looking to buy one of yours, I was just curious if you had a ml. Do you think it would be too heavy or o.k. for pan fishing? Never held one so I'm flying blind here. Quote
highbars92 Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 I've got a couple of the 7'6" shocks paired to some old school Penn 720z and 722z's. I believe a 2500 to 3500 size reel would be fine on any of the rods that I mentioned. Quote
Super User cart7t Posted January 14, 2009 Super User Posted January 14, 2009 I've got a custom 7' I got from David Green here (Reel Mech) Love the rod and the spiral guides but I'm still not sold on the split grip deal. Don't forget the All Star ASR's. http://www.allstarrods.com/as_asrseries.html Quote
