Loudy Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 I don't know what rod to match the curado with? Please let me know what you think i was planning on a mh from 6'6 to 7'0. thanks Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted February 3, 2009 Super User Posted February 3, 2009 When it comes to plastics and jigs, buy the absolute best rod you can afford. What's your budget? Quote
UBA Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 The Avid is a great rod for the price and St.croix's service is excellent. Quote
Super User KYntucky Warmouth Posted February 3, 2009 Super User Posted February 3, 2009 My E7 is paired with a Kistler Magnesium TS MgMWCRH70 which is a 7' H. It feels like a great combo but haven't had the chance to break it in as it was bought in Dec. If you're on a budget or don't want to drop alot on a rod I would suggest the Mojo Bass rod...It seems to be a descent rod but haven't had any experience with it Quote
Super User Raul Posted February 3, 2009 Super User Posted February 3, 2009 160 for a GL2 :-? ----> somebody somewhere is trying to screw you. Quote
Jake. Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Go with the Avid, they are very sensitive rods. The one RW recommended is a good pick. 8-) Quote

chris fenk Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Shimano crucial 6.10 heavy and 7.0 heavy. Quote
bugman Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Look around, I just picked up a St.Croix AC60MHF on clearence for $109.00. I will match it with my Curado e7 I picked up this past fall. I know a 6'6" or 7' is the more popular size for worm/jig but I have always liked the shorter 6' rod myself. I will also pair a e7 with a AC62MXF for weightless plastics & traps. One of the best things about the e7 is that it is a burner but has the cranking power of a slower ratio reel. Quote
