In many telescoping rods the telescoping part is the butt end of the rod.

I had the Daiwa Froggin Rod.

It telescopes a few inches above the reel seat.

With a frog rod, I wouldn't be too concerned with sensitivity. One because your probably mostly going to be throwing frogs. Two, because you'll have braid on, so even if you tie a jig on, braid will help you out with sensitivity.

any quality telescopic rod is extremely sensitive.on a good rod u wouldn't be able to tell the differencne.

Have used telescopic rods since back in the 80's with Allstar and Fenwick and today have St. Croix Legends that are telescopic. Never broke one and they are just as sensitive and any other high quality rod.  All the telescopic feature does is allow a long rod to be collapsed inside of itself by 12 to 24 inches to save space in you rod locker or truck.

My personal favorite for frogging is a Legend 7'3'' MH with a fast tip.

hey brokeju how did you like the rod? was it worth the money? i am between the mojo frog and slop, the daiwa froggin, or another falcon lowrider. if i go by rod online specs i like the daiwa but have never owned a daiwa rod . i own a st croix  and like it so the mojo seems like a no brainer.

I've been looking at these myself lately. In fact, I checked out the Fenwick Techna AV 7'6" at Cabela's just this week and I asked the sales guy the exact same question.

I don't know if anyone's seen this trick before, but it completely sold me. He had me hold the the rod in my hands while he took a few steps back and put the tip to his throat. I was like, "What's this kook doing?" And then he started talking. I felt everything he said through the vibrations in my fingers. I just looked at him without saying a thing. He just laughed.

How could anyone answer the question better.
