Steven Ladner Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 Hey, just wondering who uses right or left baitcasters? It seems like now a days more people are using left handed ones. I've always used right, it seems more comfortable. Quote

bigfruits Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 i learned using right hand. now that i havent been fishing much the last 2 yrs because of my location and have thought about it, i've decided to sell one of my right hand reels and try left. i think i will have better lure control holding the rod with right hand and wont have to change hands after the cast. Certified Public Angler Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 learned on a righty, im right handed, and they make more options in right hand retrieve so no reason to switch it up. Quote
LAO162 Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Left hand retrieve for bait casting & spinning. To me, switching hands seems about as practical as leaving the remote at the couch and getting up to change channels on the television :) Having spent 35 years with spinning gear, I didn't enjoy baitcasting until I used LH models. The switching was too distracting. Leon Quote
