Ern Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 That time of the year. I NEED a New Baitcaster. I am trying to decide between the Revo STX and the Curado 200E. Open to opinions. Ern Quote
DEbassman17 Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 I have thrown the stx a couple of times and it is an alright reel, but i now own a curado 201 e7 and it can throw all lures better than the stx. This is only IMO. i know many people that like revos better and i got nothin against 'em. All i'm sayin is that the curado casts a little better than the STX IMO. Both are very comfortable to fish with, the curado is a tad lighter, and little more comfy for me(i have smaller hands), and the curado sits lower on my rods than the STX. I, personally, would go with the curado. But that's just me. Quote
Cravin Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 What do you throw now? the brake system on the shimano is more forgiving if you are not use to the mag brake system, but if you are, then I hear the STX is a outstanding reel. I have the SX and flat love it. I had to teach myself to go a little tighter on the on the spool (not the break) to reduce over run, but after that its pure butter. I have the E7 now(x-mas) and love the way it casts and the feel though it has yet to see water. whichever way you go you have made the right decision IMO. Quote
Super User Micro Posted January 1, 2009 Super User Posted January 1, 2009 Daiwa Zillion. My new favorite baitcast reel. Otherwise, Revo STX. Quote
