BluFleck Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 I got a new GLoomis SWBR for X-mas. It's a 7'6 rated up to 4 oz. I was kinda thinking either a Calcutta 200 or a Curado 300. thoughts????? Quote
Super User Chris at Tech Posted January 2, 2009 Super User Posted January 2, 2009 I'd think you'd want at least a 300-sized Calcutta. Quote
The Next KVD Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 I tried a Calcutta 200 and it didn't do a very good job. The 300 on the other hand was A LOT BETTER! I think I should step it up to a 400 but I don't like the added weight of it so the 300 would be the best choice in my opinion. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted January 2, 2009 Super User Posted January 2, 2009 Calcutta 300 8-) Quote

BluFleck Posted January 3, 2009 Author Posted January 3, 2009 Problem Solved! After much dileberation in BPS (had x-mas gift cards) I went with the Curado 300. I tried the Calcutta's but didn't fit in my hands as well and the Curado had plenty-o-capacity. I think it will also make a good Peacock reel when i get back there. Thanks guys! BTW, what is a Diawa? ;D Quote

djmax22 Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 Good choice. I have the Curado 300 paired with my loomis 955 and it has served me well. Quote
