Storing my expensive Loomis rods in garage, bad idea?

Hey guys, I need some opinions.

The last couple of years I started replacing some of my old Quantum rods w/ a few Loomis IMX. With our first baby on the way and space becoming more and more of a commodity, I'm thinking about moving my rods from my man cave in the house to a rod rack in the garage. Problem is, it gets pretty stinking hot here in central KY, and the inside of that garage truly becomes an oven - upper 90s - for weeks at a time.

I'm assuming I don't want to subject my cherished IMX rods to this kind of torment?

Any suggestions?

That wouldn't be my first choice, but upper 90s shouldn't be too bad as long as you keep them out of the sun.

Keep them standing vertically, or lay them horizontally and supported at multiple locations, and I think you should be ok.

There is no way in   a man/person should have to keep his babies in the garage.  I keep mine in the corner of the living room on a round rod rack from BassPro.  Or in the bedroom, or even in the kitchen.  Quite frankly, anywhere I want except in the garage.  If the wife can take up 3 closets with shoes, purses and clothes she hasn't worn in years then I'll keep my rods in the house.

I'm sure it gets hotter than 90* in a rod locker.

I have my Loomis rods wrapped and stored in PVC tubing in my garage during the off season.

It's true. The woman loves her shoes, whether she wears 'em or not.

I think the rods are gonna stay put.

The garage itself isn't the problem if you store them w/o any stress on the blanks...  it's the whole garage mentality.  Stuff falls/gets knocked over or she pulls in a little too far, etc.  And the dirt, spider webs and other crap that gets all over stuff seems to suck the life out of it.

If it's an option to keep them inside, I would chose that over the garage every time.

I have stored my rods in rod tubes year round in my garage for more years then I care to admit to.  They are safe and clean in the tubes and I stand them vertically.  Never had a single problem with a rod doing this.

it's funny I was thinking this also, I'm cleaning up an area in the boiler room so I can get them out of the cold shed in New England winters,
