Super User flechero Posted December 12, 2008 Super User Posted December 12, 2008 I can't seem to find my hip boots. ;D ;D Quote
UBA Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 I havn't had any problems with any of my premiers or any of my other St. Croix rods. Could be a problem with batson's guides as mentioned before. St. Croix has an excellent reputation for their customer service so I would contact them about any problems. Quote
The_Natural Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 The_Natural,Thank you for a pleasant response to a rather aggressive post. However, although you may have been mistaken about the guides used on the Premier, that does not change the fact that you are in fact, an expert. We appreciate your participation and all of the helpful advice you contribute to this Forum. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Administrator Bahh.....Reel Mech probably just needed some scotch on the rocks. Batson guides only recently started flanging their inserts, and that is why the old Helium's were prone to the inserts popping out. Quote

NEKvt Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 I will add that I have returned my legend (fly rod) three times (all my fault) and got not so much as a question, or a bill from St. Croix. I was a little peeved when one time it took two weeks to get back to me, then I sent a rod back to cortland and it took 3 months to get back to me and cost me 60 bucks. I think if you mentioned this issue to them they would make it right. Quote
djmax22 Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 I have had guides fall out of both my St Croix Glass Premiere. I own a few St Croix LTB and report no problems with these rods. Quote
