Do scents go bad?

The answer to this question probably varies from product to product but here it is:  Do scents go bad over time?  I've got an old bottle of attractant which still occupies space in my tackle box.  When I say "old", I mean, over 10 years old.  I don't use it often, obviously, but I hate throwing something away I paid good money for.  Should I toss it or does it still have some worth?

The only way to know fer shure is to try with a drop and admire the "bouquet", if you faint after sniffing at it then it most probably be not exactly good.

I wouldnt use it if you plan to release your fish, might harm their health if its a 10 year old  scent for bass. I dont think it really matters for catfish.

I have a bottle of Kick'n'Bass garlic from 2001 that still is effective.

I use Spike-it and it will go bad on you, especially if it stays in the sun any at all.

I will discard mine after about two months. The dye and smell just aren't there any more.

I had some bad on me.  It actually completely hardened.  Don't know what kind it was.  Seemed to be a paste of somekind.  Just buy more.  Scent isn't too expensive.
