i cannot believe what just happened. i was fishing in a small lake by my house with a senko. i got a bite, set the hook and to my surprise my rod snapped 3 eyes down from the tip. this is my favorite and most expensive rod i own ($385). what do i do? i could see if it was a tarpon or something on the other end, but it was only a 3 pounder. what do i do? do i send it back to g-loomis? please help because i am completely bummed out.

Take advantage of the No Hassle something like that offer. $50 or so gets you the same model, no questions asked.

As for why it broke, that is tough to say. Sorry. Breaking a rod is always a bummer.

If it's a manufacturers defect then they will replace it free.  If not, then do the $50 dollar route.

OR, send me the rod and I'll give you $150 CASH.

call gloomis and tell them you want the expeditor service.

tell them the model broken and they will send you a new one...when it arrives, place the old one into the rod tube and ship it (pre-paid) back to them.

it will cost you $50.00 total...if the broken rod is brand new, you can go for the warranty service at $20.00.

sorry to hear about the rod...things do happen.
