Super User Dan: Posted October 31, 2008 Super User Posted October 31, 2008 I just don't get it. Are they just culturally more inclined to fancy things, or are Americans just frugal? It seems like their products are much more modern design oriented than American versions Quote
Super User firefightn15 Posted November 1, 2008 Super User Posted November 1, 2008 Redlinerobert, awhile back I asked you about having some work done on a reel and you left me with contact info which I haven't used yet. I now have a revo sx on a carrot and want to have the spool, handle, and cast control done in a burnt orange. I know you can't give exact pricing, but can you tell me about what I am looking at. As with most people, especially nowadays, I need to be frugal and am just wondering if I can swing it. Thanks, Brian Quote

21farms Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 isn't that look achieved by color case hardening? if so, not only does it look cool but it makes the finish much more durable as well. Quote
Super User Micro Posted November 4, 2008 Super User Posted November 4, 2008 I don't think that's color case hardening. It looks more like some trick titanium deposition or anodization finish. Quote

kikstand454 Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 also... its not "rainbow colored" it is irradecent. it changes colors at different angles. like when you look at that oil slick your evinrude just left in the water. ;D ;D Quote
